Tantalum reactors, agitators or columns are suitable for applications in very corrosive environment such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, strong organic acids, bromine, epichlorydrin. Mersen Linsengericht is a center of competence dedicated to the design and manufacturing of tantalum process equipment.
Tantalum is the most corrosion resistant metal in common use today. It is inert to practically all organic and inorganic compounds, it has good thermal conductivity, is erosion resistant and forms easily. Tantalum’s high workability and weldability make it a perfect material of construction for a wide range of equipment such as pressure vessels, columns or reactors.
