Powder Micro Dosing System
The patented PTS is based on the PTS technology and allows precise dosing of very small amounts (<1 mg) of powder in less than a second, with accuracy reaching up to 2 % RSD. The product is filled in a calibrated chamber of adjustable volumes by the action of vacuum and emptied mechanically by a piston. The revolutionary system does not include any filter and can therefore handle very fine and/or sticky materials.
Dec’s microdosing technology permits to accurately dose variable quantities of powder from one mg to 100+ grams.
A specially designed hopper allows handling a large range of powders with difficult behaviors. The volume can be changed automatically by using a linear motor which can be controlled in a closed-loop linked to a weighing device. The system is very compact and versatile and can be easily dismantled. Another main advantage is its easy integration into dosing stations with multiple filling systems or products.
This technology is extremely versatile and accommodates different powders, i.e. allowing changes in powder characteristics from one product to another.
As the system uses a high vacuum to convey the product, the powder can be pre-compacted in the dosing chamber allowing for high accuracy and dust-free filling of the packaging.
Microdosing devices are based on the PTS technology and allow precise and rapid dosing of very small quantities (< 1 mg) of powder in less than a second. High accuracy, up to 1% RSD, is achieved even with variations in bulk density, as the powder in the chamber is be pre-compacted by the vacuum effect.
Compared to typical mechanical dosing devices such as the Auger system, devices based on PTS technology can achieve higher accuracy on a larger range of quantities starting from 1 mg to a few grams as the system is less influenced by powder property variations.
Depending on the quantities of powder to be dosed, Dec has developed different dosing systems to achieve the best performance in terms of accuracy, speed, and investment.
