Thanks to a unique magnetic detection system, it eliminates leak paths and is unaffected by downstream pressure fluctuations or corrosion. In addition, no re-wiring is needed after disc activation. This means the sensor can be re-used, which offers significant long-term cost savings.
The use of a Flo-Tel burst sensor requires a compatible rupture disc with an integral magnet for activation. Where this is not possible, we offer simple membrane burst sensors that are installed upstream of the rupture disc. These sensors are intrinsically safe, compatible with multiple flange ratings, and offer instantaneous notification on burst. Membrane sensors must be replaced along with the disc following an overpressure event.
Flo-Tel sensor capability is available for sanitary rupture discs as the Sanitary Vent-Tel. This magnetic burst sensor is mounted directly to the tri-clamp or sanitary fitting of your choice for instant, non-invasive burst detection in hygienic and bioprocesses.
Flo-Tel and Vent-Tel Key Features and Benefits:
- Easy to install: Robus design will no break on install
- Non-invasive: Not affected by corrosion or pressure fluctuations, which eliminates false alarms.
- Re-usable: Stays in place after the disc has burst with no need for re-wiring, eliminating re-wiring costs.
In addition to the burst sensor shown above, Thurne offers a broad range of sensors. For detailed specifications or to discuss your particular requirements, please contact Thurne directly. Our team will be happy to help you find the right solution.
