WEBINAR

IN-LINE MIXING TECHNOLOGY, INNOVATION AND SCALABILITY

January 27-28, 2021

2 days, 2 live sessions

Static mixers made by Fluitec are modern, economical and efficient – and proven energy savers. Innovative new and optimized solutions developed by Fluitec engineers regularly set new benchmarks in static mixing technology. Fluitec offers a wide variety of mixing technology that can be both setup for pilot projects, can be scaled up accurately and are equally suited for laboratory equipment, pilot plants and full-scale production. Reaction systems can either be scaled up from a small plant or developed directly, depending on the process and procedure. The modular design of the Contiplant system is based on Fluitec’s continuous mixer / heat exchangers. It allows each process to be developed quickly and precisely for the target product on a laboratory scale. In this webinar, we at Thurne will present one of the leading innovators and developers in the business all the way from Switzerland.

It was back in 1993 when Fluitec launched its first static mixers in the market. Today, Fluitec is a reliable partner for high-quality products whose know-how spans a wide range of mixing, heat transfer and reaction tasks in the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, environment and food industries.

This FREE LIVE event will feature 2 webinar sessions by leading experts from the industry, Tobias Vögeli Ehrat and Alain Georg. Brought to you by Thurne in collaboration with Fluitec, this webinar will take place on January 27th – 28th, 2021 from 14:00 – 15:00 CET each day. The webinar language is English.

Topics and technologies covered will include:

      • functionality and applications of Fluitec static mixers and mixer heat exchangers;
      • Fluitec scale-up concept and In-line Reaction Technology.

1st SESSION – Wednesday, January 27th at 14:00 CET

Static mixer / heat exchanger

Fluitec CSE-X®, the newest generation of laminar mixers, has openings in the wall area. This innovative feature reduces the pressure drop for even the most complex mixing tasks by up to 50% compared to conventional mixer geometries – without compromising the mixing quality. The Fluitec portfolio includes numerous optimized special-purpose mixers for extreme mixing tasks or specific residence time distribution requirements.

In this webinar, we will introduce you to the functionality and applications of Fluitec static mixers and mixer heat exchangers. The unique design of the heat exchanger gives rise to extraordinary capabilities, which are particularly evident with complex cooling tasks. Even pseudoplastic (non-Newtonian) or thixotropic media can be mixed without any problems over a wide temperature range and with significant differences between the viscosity at the inlet and outlet or between the temperature of the product and the coolant.

2nd SESSION – Thursday, January 28th at 14:00 CET

Innovation and scalability of In-Line reaction technology

In this webinar, Fluitec presents the new reaction calorimeter, which was developed in collaboration with a major pharmaceutical company. A simple set-up of a continuous calorimeter and a method to calculate the heat of reaction will be shown. The set-up comprises two controlled dosing systems, one jacketed tubular reactor with static mixers inside, one axial temperature sensor, two temperature sensors for the heat transfer medium side as well as a precise thermostat.  Fluitec in-line reaction systems in sterile technology are used for high requirements regarding GMP, surface quality, CIP/SIP and FDA.
